Grated Kraft Parmesan cheese
Granulated garlic (amount determined by personal preference.)
Butter or Whirl (melted)
Sour Dough Bread
We've discovered that the brand of cheese used can make a big different in the
end product. Initially, we used butter, but found Whirl, a butter-flavored oil,
produced a more evenly golden cheese bread, with less tendency to get soggy.
Either can be used.
Pour cheese into a cake pan and flavor with garlic. Mix, then shake the
pan so that the mixture is an even layer. Use a pastry brush to paint one
side of a piece of bread. Be sure to coat the edges, as well as the entire
surface. Lay the butter side of bread onto the cheese, and pat down.
Then lift out, and gently shake off the excess. Lay bread, butter/cheese
side up, on a cookie sheet. Repeat until you have prepared the desired
amount. Broil in oven until lightly golden.
