No, they aren’t headstones or grave markers. Although some of the
commemorative plaques we’ve included in this photo section resemble grave
markers. They are actually part of the Memorial Tree and Bench Program,
which is a Lake Havasu City community program, initiated by the Keep Havasu
Beautiful committee. For over 20 years, the program has been providing trees
and park benches to the community, while giving people the opportunity to
commemorate a loved one or leave a message.
There are over 2,000 plaques scattered throughout Havasu. We’ve added a few
on the following pages, So far, we’ve snapped about a tenth of what is out
there. In the future, we hope to add more.
