Lake
Havasu survived another Memorial Day Weekend! We planned to venture out
on the lake with friends on Friday, yet the wind changed our minds. It
was calmer on Saturday, yet we left the lake to those braver than us. It
was an excellent weekend for BBQs, as we weren’t chased indoors by
excessive heat.
We visited the Channel on Sunday afternoon,
checking out the action. When we were there everything seemed to be in
control, yet not due to a lack of people. The city’s talks of curtailing
the crowds in the Channel did not seem to deter the visitors. The group
was enjoying a variety of activities – swimming, sunning, horseshoes,
tossing footballs, water-sliding, dancing, barbecuing, cruising, and
generally having a good time.
This weekend, as we enjoyed the outdoors
with friends, we were once again reminded why we really do love Havasu.
Hope to see you this summer!
