Chamber adds new leaders to community

                 The number of leaders in Lake Havasu City has grown by 14 – thanks to the recent graduation of the 2011 class of Havasu Leadership Development. The leadership program is sponsored by the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber graduated its first class in 2000.
                The class graduated during special ceremonies on Wednesday, May 25. Included in the ceremony were their employers and families, who were treated with a special performance by the class of “The 12 Months of Leadership.” The class heard congratulations from Chamber Chairwoman Eileen Nexsen, and Lisa Krueger, the Chamber’s President/CEO. They were also feted by the year’s Co-Chairs – Lyn Rasmussen, Mary Lou Johnson and Janet Thompson, all graduates of the 2010 class.
                During the program, the co-chairs for the 2012 class were announced. That group will be lead by Pam Reinke; other members of the group that will oversee next year’s program are Kris Horton, Lisa Theophilus, Michele Anderson, Shauna Karns and Colleen McShea. Applications are currently being accepted for the new class that will begin on Sept. 21, 2011.
